"It's easy to bond over hating something together. The Internet is total proof of that."

-Codex, Season 3, Episode 2 of The Guild
Sometimes the bitterest disappointment is that caused by the deeds or words of someone you once held a great respect for.
Mike, let me tell you something. The whole world is a circus if you know how to look at it. The way the sun goes down when you're tired, comes up when you want to be on the move. That's real magic. The way a leaf grows. The song of the birds. The way the desert looks at night, with the moon embracing it. Oh, my boy, that's... that's circus enough for anyone. Every time you watch a rainbow and feel wonder in your heart. Every time you pick up a handful of dust, and see not the dust, but a mystery, a marvel, there in your hand. Every time you stop and think, "I'm alive, and being alive is fantastic!" Every time such a thing happens, you're part of the Circus of Dr. Lao.

-Tony Randall, The 7 Faces Of Dr. Lao
"In today's world of dead cheap cameras, video cameras, etc. there's no reason not to record the hell out of precious things, whether in high-resolution or low."

"You think that it's not magic that keep you alive? Just because you understand the mechanics of how something works, that doesn't make it any less of a miracle, which is just another word for magic."

From the latest episode of True Blood, which I finally got around to watching just now. Bill just keeps looking more like a stalker to me with each episode, but I think I'll stick with the show a bit more to see what all happens next. Hain't read the books yet, and since I'm waiting until the season ends to start, no spoilers, please.
And in a place like America, which was founded on our own legends and myths, I believe it's vital that we know where those myths came from, even if it means admitting our own vulnerabilities. That's how we truly honor our heroes.

"I'm dead, but if you're reading this, you're not, so take a moment to enjoy that happy fact."
Andrew Olmstead, published posthumously on January 04, 2008

I never knew him as well as I would have liked to. He was a good and honorable man.
Sometimes you have to stop treating people the way you'd like them to treat you, and instead treat them the way they actually are treating you.
"Plants are like people. Writers are like plants. Therefore, and this may come as a surprise, writers are like people. Given them light, water, nourishment, a comfortable pot and an encouraging world and they'll grow." -- Steve Gerber, Howard the Duck No. 16.

Rest in Peace, Steve. Should you find yourself living in a world beyond this one, may it be one you made.
Atheism is a religion in the same way that the vaccuum of space is an atmosphere.
