Atkins-Friendly Potato?

As much as I like the idea of the Atkins Diet (if only because it causes the rabid anti-carnivore types the shriek with horror,) I have this to say on the subject of scientists' having developed a low-carb potato:

Maybe it's just the part of me that tries to be "More-Irish-Anscestors-Driven-Into-Exile-By-The-Potato-Blight Than Thou," but I find this news almost infinitely annoying. Then again, maybe if they turn out to produce an even better quality of vodka than non-mutant potatoes, I'll decide to forgive them for existing after all.
