While it leaves me feeling about half-past dead toward the end of my shifts, I will miss being able to stay awake so late when I get moved to the 9-6 shift when the next century starts. There's a certain interesting parallel between ending a year, century and shift all in one swoop that I kinda like.

Especially if I manage to get over this whole insomnia thing.

And welcome to another installment of stream-of-consciousness theatre.

WhoryLori posted a really nice comment on the journal entry about the funeral I went to last week, so that got her a pot on my Friends page. I've just been too frazzled over the last few days to make the announcement about it - Sorry, Lori. Mea culpa (for those of you who paid even less attention in Latin class than I did, that translates to "I'm sorry," since I usually pop an announcement up immediately after adding a friend.)

More to post (isn't there always?), but I have too much to do right now, so I'll close until I get more typing time.

One of the things I hate most about my job is when the troubleshooting steps I'm guiding somebody through to help one problem either causes another problem, or reveals a problem that the person I'm trying to help didn't know about before we started trying to fix things.
