The worst part of the burn is the itching. But hey, at least it was just a minor couple of third-degree burns...

(Got your attention with that, now didn't I?)

Anyway, I was helping with some construction we're putting together, part of which involved holding bits of iron that was getting welded together. For those of you who haven't ever done any welding before, those sparks you see flying in all directions from the welding as it goes on? They're tiny bits of molten metal.

Most of which are too small to hold dangerous levels of heat for any length of time.

The two that managed to go down my right sleeve and land on my forearm, however, were not that kind.

Thankfully, after having burned myself severely a few years back, I got a prescription for really good anti-burn creme. So I washed off what looked like a couple of cigarette burns that a drunk and abusive GI Joe doll had inflicted, and slapped Band-Aids with antiseptic pads on 'em. Once the missing skin grows back, which I don't expect to take too terribly long, all will be well again.

But in the meantime, the itching is really getting to me.
