For all the vitriol that I've posted about the GOP of late...

...I am still willing to admit when one of them does something I find admirable.

Senator Lindsay Graham deserves much praise for trying to get Al Gonzalez to give him a straight answer during the hearings on Thursday. If we have any hope whatsoever of keeping this reeking pile of mendaciousness out of the Attorney General's office (and the thought of somebody less-suited to the post than John Ashcroft depresses me no end,) it's him, and the hope that there are more Republicans like him.

And speaking of Senators...

I recommend this article about Harry Reid. For somebody said to be boring, he's got some damned interesting stuff in his background.
