When I bought the truck, it took me some thinking before I could figure out what name would suit it best. You have to name your vehicles, after all, and to give them names they can live with, or else they get all uppity and problematical. This one got dubbed "Bat Out Of Hell," for how she could accelerate when I needed to have her drop the hammer.
She was a great truck and all, but when I got let go from the job I had when I bought her, she gradually became a ton or so of albatross around my neck. So I posted an ad, and this morning, I got a call from one of the local dealerships. We talked features, and money, and they asked me what I'd be willing to take, and were cool with paying me that much.
No idea yet what I'll be replacing her with, but damn if it don't feel good to be free of a car note for however long or short a time it'll work out to.
