I think I'll repeat here what I wrote in reply to a friend posting the news of Ken Lay's fatal heart attack in her journal:

To paraphrase a great quote from Moms Mably, "My momma always said that if you don't have anything good to say about the dead, don't say nothing. He's dead. Good."

Normally I try not to take excessive joy from anybody's death - that bell tolling, and all that - but on the radio this morning, I heard somebody saying that the stress of going through the trial was what most likely did it. Then she said the thing that nearly sent me driving off the freeway in a blind rage: "This makes him as much a victim of Enron's collapse as anyone else."

Maybe in the same sense as Charles Manson was as much a victim of the Tate-LaBianca murders, but anywhere other than on Bizarro World he goddamn was anything but a victim, you stupid, stupid, stupid woman.

GOD.

Just thinking about it makes me want to throw things, I swear.

Edited to close comments - this was meant to be about venting spleen over Lay getting called a victim, not to accuse anybody in his family of anything, so I'm shutting the comments page down.

Bah

Have to choose new subtitle for journal. Too close to PKD title, and with Reeves starring in movie adaptation, feel need to distance from it now.

Also, need to see if can find artist willing to work on comic project have been toying with for awhile. Perhaps getting new creative thing in action answer to feelings of general malaise? And if so, perhaps comic project the one to concentrate on? Must ponder.

Know writing like Saminga makes difficult to follow, but enh.
