(Nobilis) Preservation

The Power of Preservation, as her name implies, preserves things. Her museum is a series of wonders to behold, especially the creatures and people whom one can find there. The Power of Qinxiangmin is one of those - none remember what his or her (Qinxiangmin's gender is no longer determinate) Estate actually was anymore, as the Excrucians have removed it from reality. Had he or she not been granted sanctuary by Preservation, he or she would likewise be gone, as would the others among the select few Powers that reside within the museum, radiant in their tubercular glory.

Some whisper questions about whether Preservation might betray other Powers to the Excrucians in order to extend the power of her own estate by granting them this refuge, but never where they think she might overhear. Were she to hear the rumors and take offense, what motivation would she have to offer sanctuary?
