My friend John, who you can, for good or ill, credit with my being here on LiveJournal because he's the one who first got me to go online back in 92, went into the hospital last week with walking pneumonia, high blood pressure, and I don't know what all else.
On Thursday I got a text from him saying how glad he was to be out of there, and on Friday morning we talked about how we'd both enjoyed the new Trek movie. Then last night, while his wife and stepdaughter were out running errands, a fresh batch of respiratory trouble got him.
At times like this, the friends you still have mean more. So to all of you whom I consider friends, and/or those of you who feel the same way toward me, thank you for being a part of my life, however indirectly.
