For those of you who don't know about them, the B-L awards are an annual contest in which people submit bad opening sentences to imaginary novels. Edward Bulwer-Lytton was the writer who gave us the immortal opening line "It was a dark and stormy night," with which all fans of Snoopy's novel-writing career should be familiar.

I think I liked the Norweigen one best.. Though it was hard to read *laugh*... Of course the spider in the space suit was funny... More's the pity that this sort of humor is not found in regular books (you know compilations of the silliest things every written).
