On one of the newsgroups I frequent, a person recently posted a series of really meanspirited man-bashing jokes (such as "What do you do when you see your husband rolling around on the ground in pain? Shoot him again.")

So I decided to make a point about those being less than funny by taking some of them (that was about the nicest of the entire batch, btw,) then changing the gender references, so that "man" was replaced with "woman," "he" with "she," etc. As you may imagine, this did not go over well.

The most amusing reply I got was from somebody who, after bitching me out for posting the type of reply I wrote, wrote "So just ignore the posts that offend your sensibilities, eh?"

Um, HELLO!?! Ever thought about taking your own advice, buddy?

D'oh

You know . . . I delete male bashing jokes when someone sends them to me. I never forward them. I don't consider them jokes.

Men are not put on this planet to be bashed by women . . . they are here for us to worship, love and care for!

Why spread negativity and put more distance between the genders? Why can't we just learn how to understand each other? Communication is a good thing. Maybe if people wouldn't put out such negativity, they wouldn't be in a situation where they hated the person they were with so much that they felt like shooting them.

*big hugs for you*

Don't even waste your time on someone like that sweetie!

Hehe... Enough irony to build a battleship
