Would you believe eighty-*two*?
Sep. 26th, 2005 03:30 pmDon Adams died. Damn.
I remember watching the "Get Smart" reruns in syndication for years when I was growing up, back on one of the local UHF stations that has gone on to one or two entirely different formats since. But anyway. Maxwell Smart was my hero when I was growing up - he was an even bigger dork than I ever managed to be (and damn if I didn't try my best for awhile there,) but he always managed to come out on top of things despite himself, and he got one of the hottest female sidekicks evar.
Mmmmm, Barbara Feldon... But I digress.
Anyway, for those of you who were also fans of the show, I thought you might like to know. Or of Inspector Gadget, since that was either him, or an astonishingly good imitator of Adams' inflection.
As for me? Tonight I'll be raising a toast to the man, and bidding another part of my childhood goodbye.
