I decided it was time, so this afternoon, I went into the salon.

"How do you want it cut," the stylist asked, to which I answered "Off!"

So, one french braid later, she hacked off the tail and the back of my neck once again saw the light of day.

Now I just need to decide what to do with it. It represents five years of effort; I can't just throw it away.

I like the haircut! :)

And I thought I'd suggest what I did with mine. The salon that I have my hair cut at will take a braid of hair , depending on how long it is, and donate it to the Children's hospital to make wigs for children who have cancer. I just thought it was a great way to get rid of it, and it made me feel better about chopping it off :)

I'm too stingy to let anybody else have my hair, or else I'd have probably done just that. :)
