I decided it was time, so this afternoon, I went into the salon.

"How do you want it cut," the stylist asked, to which I answered "Off!"

So, one french braid later, she hacked off the tail and the back of my neck once again saw the light of day.

Now I just need to decide what to do with it. It represents five years of effort; I can't just throw it away.

I should have read all the messages before I asked in the other post what happened.

I'll have to see it in person, but the cam shot actually looks pretty good. I didn't think I'd like your hair short, but it has appeal. And I'm sure is MUCH cooler.

And I have to admit that the idea of being able to lie down in bed without inhaling hair has come to have a certain appeal.
