"How do you want it cut," the stylist asked, to which I answered "Off!"
So, one french braid later, she hacked off the tail and the back of my neck once again saw the light of day.
Now I just need to decide what to do with it. It represents five years of effort; I can't just throw it away.

I have to admit that although I cut off my hair in 1997, I haven't done this with it yet. I have the stuff, the braiding table, the bobbins, the patterns, etc - and I've done a few sample projects, but haven't done any full-scale projects with it yet. The plan is to make a watch fob. It's a lot of work, but very cool once it's done. This was all the rage in the first half of the 1800's, and was done for sweetheart gifts as well as memorials.
